From 28 October to 1 November 2009 the Arsenal – Institute for Film and Video Art e.V. and HAU organize the series “LIVE FILM! JACK SMITH! Five Flaming Days in a Rented World”. With performances, films and videos, installations, concerts, lectures and discussions “LIVE FILM! JACK SMITH!” opens up different perspectives on the oeuvre of Jack Smith, Andy Warhol, and other Sixties avant-gardists who crossed all borderlines of gender and genre. Moreover Smith’s work will be performed in exchange with new productions by a number of international contemporary artists.
